Not What I Expected

This past week Sandy and I had an amazing event happen. We had a doctor appointment for us to see our first baby’s ultrasound. We were very excited about it but I had no idea what to expect.

When I saw the baby move, raise its head and even kick its feet around, I was blown away. I guess I thought a baby just sits there at 12 weeks but WOW what an amazing site to see on the ultrasound. I wasn’t prepared for that but was pleasantly surprised.

Sandy and I weren’t sure we could even get pregnant because of all the Chemo she had to have at age 19 for her cancer that she fought and beat and with my past of many years of drugs and alcohol. We pretty much had it in our minds that we wouldn’t ever experience that joy.

We are so excited that not only are we going to experience it but we know this is a true gift from God. Only God could have done this. Without God moving in to perform a miracle, we know we would not be getting to experience this kind of joy.

That was the main thing that happened this week as that was all we needed to happen with that being such an awesome occasion. This coming weekend we will be going to church and looking forward to the message. We have a great church that we attend here in Savannah called Savannah Christian until next year when we move to the Charlotte or Raleigh NC area.

Remember when going to church this weekend, listen to what God is trying to tell you. Allow God to speak to your heart. Be 100% open and then wherever he leads, just GO. You will not regret it and it will take so much pressure off you when he is the one leading you instead of you trying to lead your own life.
